RPC Tournament Important Player Notice

TO: Rochester Pickleball Club (RPC) Tournament & Festival Players and FANS
FROM: Marilyn Holladay, Tournament Director

The RPC Tournament is fast approaching.

Due to an unexpected schedule conflict with a Rochester High School tennis tournament, the venue for the Rochester Pickleball Tournament & Festival has been moved to Royal Oak.

Thanks to the flexibility and can-do attitude of the Royal Oak Pickleball group led by Pat Sullivan and the Royal Oak Recreation Department, the entire 5 day tournament will be relocated to Whittier Park in Royal Oak. These recently opened outdoor courts are specifically for Pickleball which will be a real treat for most of us. There are no tennis or badminton lines to contend with!!

Due to the change in venue, it will be necessary to sign a new waiver. I will have this for you at the time you check in for your first day of play.

Whittier Park is in Royal Oak at the corner of Farnum and Potter. If you are at 11 Mile and Main streets in downtown Royal Oak, proceed NORTH on Main 1⁄2 mile to Farnum. Turn right at the light and go down 1⁄2 mile. Whittier Park is on the right.

There are still two days left for players to register. We are hoping to have a few more players and teams so that we do not have to do much combining of events. We offered skill level events so that players would have the opportunity to compete against others of the same skill level. Combining events is counter to this. If you know of players who are considering signing up please encourage them to do so ASAP. We need to know numbers by Friday morning when we make the decisions about combining events. Please email me as the registration is not likely to arrive by Friday morning if it is not yet in the mail.
