The club was formed by the adoption of bylaws, and the first Board of Directors was elected: David Lewis, President; John DeHoog, Vice-President; Katherine Weller, Treasurer; Joe Legatz, Secretary; Bob Yonkers and Peter Walters Directors at Large. The club adopted a policy of teaching Pickleball at no cost to anyone interested in the game. Adult memberships in the club were set at $10 per year; student memberships are free. Within six weeks of the club's formation, there were 75 paid members, with new members joining weekly.

Club drop-in play is Mondays and Thursdays, 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturdays, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the tennis courts at the Lakeshore Middle School, 900 Cutler Street (Grant Street at Cutler Street), Grand Haven, MI 49417. Pickleballs are furnished for club drop-in play. Guests are welcome, with club membership ($10 per year) required after 1 or 2 visits. There are four tennis courts with painted Pickleball lines. More locations and times to play will be added soon.
